In memory of Steve Riley

Our close community of colleagues, customers and friends at Easton Business Centre was greeted by the tragic news that our dear friend and long-term customer Steve Riley passed away at home at the weekend with his family close-by.

For over four decades and for 30 of those years at Easton Business Centre, Steve, and the company he ran, Piston Broke, were specialist motorbike engineers. Whether you were in the trade or just someone who got to know Steve over the years, you experienced his magic touch and heard the wisdom that came with it.

Steve cut his entrepreneurial teeth on Stapleton Rd back in the ’80s before moving his workshop as one of the very first customers of Easton Business Centre in 1992. He practically became part of the furniture here, and his absence will be sorely felt by everyone at Spaceworks and those who knew him.

Steve had been a very patient and generous man. If you needed help with a dead car battery, broken mower or a wonky tent that refused to stand straight – Steve was your guy, bailing many of us out countless times over the years with his practical advice and hands-on help.

Steve’s family has been inundated with well wishes and he was featured in today’s Bristol Post.

He will be missed!
