Supporting Local Causes

As a not-for-profit company, we are dedicated to using any surplus we generate to maintain and upgrade our properties, ensuring that our workspaces remain comfortable, clean, and safe for our customers. Our focus extends beyond short-term profits, allowing us to prioritise long-term investments and the adoption of greener energy alternatives.

In addition to our commitment to sustainability, we strongly believe in giving back to the community. Each year, a portion of our profits is directed towards local causes and charities that align with our mission of providing employment opportunities. While we continue to support organisations that share our vision, we have also extended our reach to address pressing needs within the BS5 and BS2 communities.

Most recently, we donated to InHope, a Bristol charity helping people overcome the insecurity of homelessness, hunger, addiction and poor mental health. We also donated to Refugee Women of Bristol, a multi-faith, multi-ethnic organisation led by women from the refugee and asylum-seeking community in Bristol.

At the end of June, a group of Spaceworks team members and our customers participated in the Empire Fighting Chance annual fundraising quiz at the Gloucestershire cricket ground. Alongside 19 other teams, we joined forces to raise funds for some of Bristol’s most vulnerable young people. The event was a resounding success, with a grand total of £14,680 raised. During the event, Jamie Sanigar, co-founder of Empire Fighting Chance, shared valuable insights into the challenges faced by Bristol in addressing inequality. Abdul Bangura, a young beneficiary of the charity, delivered an inspiring speech, recounting how Empire Fighting Chance had transformed his life from exclusion at school to achieving remarkable success in his GCSE exams.
