The Power of Networking at Easton Business Centre

At Spaceworks, we’ve always believed that the right environment not only supports business growth but also creates meaningful connections. Easton Business Centre is home to an incredible community of purpose-driven organisations, and sometimes, simply sharing a space can be the catalyst for something truly impactful.

Working with your neighbours

At Easton Business Centre, everyday interactions between businesses can lead to exciting new opportunities. That’s exactly what happened with Play:Disrupt and Rhombus, two brilliant businesses, each with a unique approach to design and engagement. Before moving into Easton Business Centre, they had already met, but being in the same building helped their relationship to flourish.

What started as a shared workspace connection evolved into a creative partnership, leading to the development of a toolkit designed to empower children in shaping their own play spaces.

What is the Play Spaces Toolkit?

The collaboration between Play:Disrupt and Rhombus focused on designing a toolkit that ensures children have a meaningful role in the design of their own play spaces. Too often, play areas are designed by adults without genuine input from the children who will use them. The toolkit they co-developed changes that.

Play:Disrupt are experts in creating unique interventions that engage communities (particularly those often overlooked) through creative play, technology, theatre, storytelling, and visual art. Rhombus, a full-service design studio, specialises in solving the problems of tomorrow through thoughtful design. By working in the same business centre, their collaboration grew organically, allowing ideas to develop more naturally than they might have in a more formal setting.

Together, they have created a tool that allows children to express their needs, creativity, and preferences in an intuitive way, ensuring their voices are heard in shaping the places where they play.

More Than Just Office Space

When businesses work alongside each other, they build stronger relationships, exchange ideas more freely and create opportunities that might not have happened otherwise.
